(VIP) Volunteer International Program of Central America's Mission Statement: The Volunteer International Program of Central America is dedicated to provide help to people in need. Our mission is to provide means in order that babies, children, and even adults change their lifestyle with the help of volunteers from around the world. VIP staff promises that will fulfill the expectations of the volunteers and all the people that this program helps. The Volunteer International Program of Central America promises that everyone involved will feel as a VIP, because everyone is a Very Impotant Person in a NO AGE LIMIT shortcut to happiness.

Thank you for your interest in participating in our program of volunteerism. We invite you to be part of our efforts to promote a greater awareness about the great value of our skills and ability to help other that is made available to the society. While this is happening, you will earn: experience, knowledge of other cultures and social conscience, which translates into your future's benefits. It is extremely gratifying to give something of our free time to discover new and interesting places while helping others.
Escape with us! There is a variety of activities that can be developed, all depending on your preferences and abilities. Volunteering brings benefits to both society as a whole and in particular for the volunteer. It brings significant contributions in the economic and social fields. It helps promote the union of the people, creating trust and reciprocity among citizens.

VIP Network consist of three countries: El Salvador, Honduras and Nicaragua. In each of the countries there is an In-Country Coordinator who takes care of the volunteer during their stay. Before coming to Central America anyone who is applying can have a daily basis communication with the In-Country Coordinators. The Coordinators will provide any information that the volunteers wishes. Each In-Country Coordinator will contact the family or apartment facility and the project where the volunteers wishes to stay. VIP Central America is open to provide to the volunteer and to the region a VIP service, because for Volunteer International Program everyone is a VIP.
Qualifications:
As a volunteer in Central America you must take into account that:
- There is no age limit to be a volunteer. So we encourage volunteers of different ages to participate.
- Volunteers under 18 years old must have written permission from their parents.
- We encourage to get an insurance before your trip.
- Speak English or Spanish.
- Be able to speak spanish or willing to learn.
* Although there are no restrictions on the nationality of volunteers that wish to participate in this program. The volunteers is responsible for any legal requirement in order to enter their destination. The VIP Staff can provide you assistance in the legal processes.

Spanish Lessons (optional)
Those volunteers who are staying for more than a two weeks and aren't already confident in Spanish, may take the $200 Spanish lessons that are provided as part of the program. These classes run for four hours per day for five days, during the first week in El Salvador, Honduras or Nicaragua. Volunteers are provided with a book and lunches each day as part of the course. This is a conversational course for beginners, and it is optional.
The Fee includes the following:
- Accommodation
- Transportation: Arrival Point-Accommodation

- Breakfast and Dinner at the accomodation
The other costs you need to include are your flights, tourist visa, vaccines, travel insurance, and departure tax. You will also need to cater for other expenses like bottled water, personal costs, beverages, and entertainment. However, the In-Country Coordinator can provide transportation to any location a volunteer desires if the coordinator likes to do so, but any other expenses other than transportation have to be paid by the the volunteer. The volunteer does not pay any expense that the In-Country Coordinator makes for its consume, everyone pays separately.
Experience Required: no
Typical Volunteer: The typical volunteer is the one that has the desire to know new culture and to help people. Everyone is treated the same way and their is no discrimitation. One of the most common activities of the volunteers during weekends is the opportunity to travel to the locations that they desire inside or outside the country.
